What is the deal with the MRF rally tires…

Rallying is a world that requires a tough, durable tire that can give you grip on all terrains whether that be mud, gravel, sand, or snow.

The two MRF rally tires, the ZDM3, and the ZG3, have both been designed to tackle the most fierce rally and rallycross competitions on the planet. The MRF (Madras Rubber Factory) is an Indian Multinational Tyre manufacturing company, they manufacture tires for a range of uses from motorbikes to trucks.

MRF rally tires are constructed and reinforced using premium materials on the crown and the sidewalls to withstand a high degree of impact during rallying. MRF tires are engineered to withstand tough conditions and ensure that the driver has complete control of the car on loose soil, pebbles, hardpack, mud, sharp objects, rocks, etc.

MRF Tread Pattern...

MRF rally tires are specially engineered for maximum performance and consistency on very high-speed rally cars. The asymmetric pattern of MRF rally tires are designed to give sufficient traction and lateral grip, large tread blocks enhance handling and the curvilinear pattern provides effective grip while cornering.

MRF In Motorsport…

Motorsports in India is synonymous with MRF. It is the only tire company in India to have developed formula car tires, world-class rally tires for tarmac & dirt, motocross tires, and also FIA-CIK karting tires. In fact, the development and popularity of various forms of the sport could be directly attributed to the pioneering efforts of the company, be it racing, rallying, motocross, or karting.

MRF is the largest promoter of rallying in the country. Having met with success in the domestic championships, the company entered international rallying in 2002 with two cars in the FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship (APRC).

The MRF ZG3 was used in the WRC2 in 2018, while the ZDM3 is the control tire for the Australian Rally Championship.

MRF has a history of providing the very best tires for racing, motocross, karting, and of course rallying.
