Houston's Clean Culture 2023: Drift Shenanigans, Team Vibes, and Event Highlights

The Tire Streets crew hit up Clean Culture Houston at Speedsportz Race Park, where we tackled unexpected challenges and enjoyed a day filled with drifting, clean cars, good vibes, and valuable conversations. Here's the lowdown on what went down at the event

Arriving at the Venue: The Scene is Set

We rolled up to Speedsportz Race Park an hour before the gates opened, and the place was already hopping. Clean Culture staff was hustling to get show cars in place, and a few drivers were already tearing it up on the track. Nick and the entire team always do an amazing job of keeping things organized.

Shipping Setbacks: No Sweat, We Got This

Once we got to Houston, we very quickly realized that our activation setup was not going to be delivered in time. Our team had to pivot very quickly to our backup plan. Thankfully, Josh McGuire and his team were coming to the event with our other activation setup still in their trailer from LS Fest West in Vegas, so they really saved the day. We cannot thank Josh and his team enough for coming through for us.

Our Drivers: Amped and Ready to Rip

Evan Shanks, Jake Wise, and Josh McGuire were all set to show off their skills and burn some tires. Jake brought his practice 350z and LS-powered 240sx, Josh had his LS-powered s-chassis, and Evan had his SR20-powered 240sx – all rocking Accelera 651 Sports. Even though Jake and Josh were told their rides were "too loud" for the track, they kept it chill by hanging with us under our tent (and munching on some tasty tacos from the food trucks).

Making Connections: Chats with our partners!

We had the chance to kick it with Jake Wise, Evan Shanks, and Josh McGuire to talk about Tire Streets, our products, and what's coming in the future. We also chopped it up with Nick from Clean Culture about growing our presence in the enthusiast community and the growth of the Clean Culture x CMD drift series. All-in-all, Clean Culture Houston was an awesome event for the region, and we had a blast hanging out with everyone.

Looking Ahead: LZ World Tour and Logistics

From this event moving forward, we were stoked to head to New Jersey for the LZ World Tour the following week. Drew saved the day and made sure our activation setup got shipped out in time for the LZ World Tour since I had to catch an earlier flight out of Houston, and we've got our spare setup sitting and waiting for wherever we end up next!

Conclusion: A Day of Good Vibes and Teamwork

Clean Culture Houston 2023 was all about rolling with the punches, making connections, and soaking up the good vibes with fellow car enthusiasts. We're grateful for the amazing hospitality Nick and the Clean Culture team showed us at this event, and we are proud of our drivers who came out to represent team Tire Streets.
